My first day in Australia

My children and I arrived to Australia in October 2006. This day was very hot and windy. The trip from Croatia to Australia was long, so I was tired and sleepy. My husband came to the airport with his friends to meet us. He brought a big bouquet for me. When I saw him, I felt very happy becouse i hadn`t seen him for 6 months.
We arrived home quickly becouse our flat was in Sans Souci wich wasn`t far (away) from the airport. Our flat was very nice and there was a big green park that my children liked. We talked about our trip and about many things wich had happened since my husband left Croatia. On that first day we went to Ramsgate beach and I was delighted when I saw a long sandy beach that was unlike any beachs in my country. I saw a lot of nice houses with beautiful gardens.
This day was very interesting and exciting and I was very happy that my family was together again.

My opinion about "The Stolen Generations"

In my opinion the Government wanted a good future and better life for Aboriginal people but it was very wrong politics.
I think " I'm sorry " is a very good sentence but it can't clear the past. The Aboriginal people will always remember " the Stolen Generations" and the ache which their families had.
